		<description>Toshiba Netbook&lt;br&gt;Rating:4 out of 5 stars&lt;br&gt;As usual with Amazon, the netbook arrived right away. Since then, I have been very pleased with the performance. The screen resolution and the battery life are unbelievable. The only problem is the noted cursor jumping. It&#039;s a bit annoying and takes some getting used to.

&lt;br /&gt;All-in I recommend this netbook especially for the price. I have been using it to give online demos with multiple applications running simultaneously. </description>

He has a nice Asus laptop but it&#039;s very bulky and heavy.  This little netbook serves a better purpose than the handheld or his laptop.  He can write his programs on it, take notes on it, and listen to some music.  It&#039;s light and is much better ta haul around a sprawling college campus than a large laptop.  And the price was great!</description>

At first I bought the Asus Eee, but realized the keys were far too cramped and I prefer Windows XP to Windows 7. This Toshiba netbook is MUCH better than the Asus because the keyboard is easier to type on and its more aesthetically pleasing. The matte silver finish keeps from seeing fingerprints, etc and I like the pearl white color of the exterior. Also the battery life is 1-2 hours longer than the Asus--with 9 hours of battery life I can use it anywhere and everywhere and hardly have to bring the charger with me! Also I read a lot of the reviews before buying this one and I disagree with the people who were complaining about the speakers. For such a small device the speakers are sufficient--you can&#039;t expect it to have amazing sound quality. I can still watch/listen to youtube, etc just fine. Also the wireless internet speed is amazing--it&#039;s even faster than my macbook.

		<description>Broken out of the box...&lt;br&gt;Rating:1 out of 5 stars&lt;br&gt;I was so excited to get my netbook and stop lugging around my stone-age Dell laptop.  The item shipped quickly.  I took it out of the box, plugged it in, waited about 30 minutes and went to turn it on.  My beautiful little netbook refused to turn on.  In fact, the power button was jammed down and stuck in that position.  
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;I contacted the seller, DataVision.  They offered to replace it immediately with no questions asked.  Unfortunately, when the customer service rep looked at their inventory, he saw that there were no more available.  Apparently I can still send it back and get merchandise credit.  They suggested I call Toshiba since the unit is still under the manufacture&#039;s warranty.  Seemed reasonable enough, I bought the computer new and it wasn&#039;t working out of the box.
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;Toshiba was less than helpful to say the least.  Tech support informed me that this is a common problem with this particular model, but assured me they had a solution.  They wanted to ship me a replacement hinge so that I could fix the problem myself.  I&#039;m reasonably savvy when it comes to technology, but I don&#039;t feel that it is my responsibility to take apart the netbook and reassemble it, especially since I received it as a $400 paperweight.  To add insult to injury, it takes 7-10 business days to ship from the warehouse (depending on availability).  I asked to speak to a manager.  I got Jesse on the line and he turned out to be a tool.  He suggested that the seller opened the box, broke the computer and wanted to get rid of it so they posted it on Amazon as a &quot;new&quot; product.  He got very defensive when I told him that seemed like a bit of a stretch for someone to open a computer, break it in a manner that is consistent with an issue this computer has, clean the unit, repackage it, put all of the stickers back on it (which would have been torn in the first place), put it back in the box, wrap everything back up, re-affix the security seals and then send it on its way.  He insisted that this &quot;happens all of the time with ebay and amazon purchases.&quot;  Interesting theory.  He then told me that I could ship it back to the Toshiba repair center.  At least this would eliminate the possibility of me breaking it while trying to repair it.  This process also takes 7-10 business day plus shipping time and I have to pay for shipping out of pocket.  Normally I wouldn&#039;t mind paying for shipping, but I&#039;ve had this netbook for less than an hour, and I&#039;ve never got to turn it on let alone use it.  Maybe I&#039;m being unreasonable, but it seems like a rip-off to pay to have something fixed that I received broken in the first place.

I can pretty much write down word for word what someone says (great for taking notes) with few typos, which I can&#039;t do on my dell keyboard without hitting the wrong key.

&lt;br /&gt;Only negative is the audio speaker, which is on the bottom of teh laptop and basically nonexistent. But if you plug in speakers/headset it works fine.

&lt;br /&gt;All in all this is a really good netbook. I would say better than asus. I&#039;ve had it for about 2 months and haven&#039;t had any problems.
